Medicare
(Parts A and B)

Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for people age 65 and older, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities. It helps cover many medical costs: Part A covers hospital stays and Part B covers doctor visits and outpatient care.

Medicare Supplements
(Medigap)

Medicare Supplement plan are private insurance policies that help cover the "gaps" in Original Medicare, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. These plans help reduce out-of-pocket costs and giving you more predictable healthcare expenses.

There are several standardized Medigap plans to choose from, each offering different levels of coverage.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Medicare Advantage plans—also known as Part C—are all-in-one alternatives to Original Medicare offered by private insurance companies. These plans include all the coverage of Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical), and many also include prescription drug coverage (Part D), dental, vision, hearing, and other extra benefits.

Medicare Part D helps cover the cost of prescription medications and is offered through private insurance companies.
